This is an assessment weekend in Snowdonia (22nd-24th March) for those putting themselves forward for hill walking permit tier 1 and tier 2 assessment.
This is an adults only weekend or for young persons who have had previous experience with CMAT and are invited to go forward to assessment or use weekend to gain experience as a pathway to obtaining a permit in future.

The CMAT Team have planned this event at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre in Lancashire. It is open to Network and Leaders, Assistant Leaders, Section/Unit Assistants, Explorer Scouts.

Adventurous First Aid Course
ExpiredThe County Mountain Activities Team (CMAT) have arranged a first aid training weekend for anybody who is involved in adventurous activities in remote and wild country.
The course has 16 hours of training and practice and meets the requirements for the UK Mountain Leader, Walking Group Leader, Hill & Moorland Walking leader awards etc as well as British Canoeing Coaching Awards. It also fulfils the first aid requirements for any adult holding a Scouting appointment. Attendance on both days is mandatory.

Thorpeness Meare Day 2023
ExpiredBoating fun and games for Guides, Scouts, Rangers and Explorers on the Meare on 30-Sep-2023, Leaders are very welcome but not essential - come and join in the fun, sit and drink coffee or have a day off! Application form and contact information (word doc) available at the Water Activities webpage.
Registration is at 9.30am and we will finish and sign out at 4pm. Participants must be able to swim 50m in the appropriate clothing and have a consent form.
It can be cold, but it will be wet and muddy so participants will need to dress suitably. All participants will be expected to take part in all activities. Numbers are limited !
You will have seen from the news that UK Scouts are transferring our young people and adult volunteers from the Jamboree site at SaeManGeum to Seoul due to the weather conditions at the campsite.
