Deben District Water Kit

Deben District Scouts have purchased a suite of Buoyancy Aids, Waterproof tops and Spray decks for use by District and County Scout groups.    The kit will be held by 5th Woodbridge for use either at their hut/Deben river (with permit holders) or away at other sites.  5th Woodbridge Sea Scouts have also secured a trailer with  8 x kayaks and 4 x three person open canoes which they are kindly offering to local groups to rent.  Along with the kayaks, they are offering rafting kits for use.

Groups are responsible for ensuring the Adventurous Permit Activity scheme rules are followed.  Advice can be sought from and of the Water activities team on required permit holders and water classes.  Compass has a list of permit holders in Deben and the surrounding districts.

The attached form below details all of the kit available and the costs.  There is a small charge to cover insurance and wear & tear.  This is discounted for Deben District Groups due to Deben District buying the water activities safety equipment.  Should you wish to book the trailer, raft kits or water safety equipment please email This email address is being protected from spambots.
