Boxford Spinney is an 8 acre site of woodland and meadow owned by 1st Boxford Scout Group. It offers a superb, amphitheatre-style campfire circle, toilets, showers and access to a small lake for canoeing/rafting. Activities for hire include grass sledges, an all-weather traversing wall, and pioneering equipment.
There are two main camping sites divided by a wooded area. The larger site is suitable for up to 60 campers and the smaller for about 20 campers. The main building is suitable for indoor accommodation for up to fifteen youngsters and their leaders. There is a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave and fridge. The toilets are for use only by the group hiring the building. In addition it has full heating and all services are included in the hire charge. Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers are standard.
A smaller building, The Vulpine Hut, with kitchenette and lounge area. Ideal as a rest room for camps on the adjacent green or as a first aid / administration point for larger camps.
