On Wednesday 6th April I visited 1st Elmswell Scout Group to present Chief Scout’sGold Awards to two young people, Ryan and Maddie. Ryan will be attending the World Jamboree in Sweden.
I also presented a Chief Scout’s Silver Award to Deanna.
The Troop held a CC’s Question Time and I was very impressed by how confident they all were. My thanks go to Ian Tutthill and Alex Kilbee. These are the first Gold Awards for the Troop in five years.
1ST DEBENHAM SCOUT GROUP
On Thursday 7th April I visited 1st Debenham Scout Group to present 94 of my 4Cs Challenge woggles to young people who had been involved in a community project to earn an Envoronmental Partnership award. Among the works to earn the award was cleaning up a mile of shoreline on Felixstowe beach. It also provided more positive publicity for Scouting in Suffolk. I was also present for the investiture of 4 new Scouts, one of whom had never been involved in Scouting before. A very proud moment for them. The local community hall was packed with young people, Leaders and many parents.
