The CMAT County Mountain Activities team have arranged this special first aid training weekend (3rd/4th December 2022 starting at 9am promptly each day) for anybody who is involved in adventurous activities in remote and wild country.

The course has 16 hours of training and practice and meets the requirements for the UK Mountain Leader, Walking Group Leader, Hill & Moorland Walking leader awards etc as well as British Canoeing Coaching Awards. It also fulfils the first aid requirements for any adult holding a Scouting appointment. Attendance on both days is mandatory.

 Hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch. The course will finish at approximately 17.00 each day.

 Note that although the course is based indoors a number of scenarios and practice incidents will be set up outside. Please ensure that you bring appropriate clothing and footwear to keep you warm and dry.
