Ipswich Gang Show 2022
ExpiredThe Gang Show is back for 2022! We are on stage at the Great School Theatre, part of Ipswich School in Ivry Street, from 13th to 16th April. We would love to see Scouts, Guides and Leaders in our audience, even if you cannot come with your group why not consider coming along with your own family and see what the show is all about, after all we need to recruit new cast each year and by seeing what happens on stage you will be able to give a first-hand account to your members.

Now that February has passed and the evenings are starting to get a little lighter, we can take the opportunity to get on with more activities outdoors. Getting outside is the essence of scout-ing and there is nothing like the smell of campfire smoke.
Events in Europe at the time of writing are very challenging for the entire population of Ukraine. The World Organisation of the Scout Movement has set up a fund to support Scouts in the Ukraine, to enable them to help provide relief to people and communities in need. Scouting is a worldwide family, and in the Spirit of Scouting this maybe a good time to demonstrate our support. D of E - Expeditions Section
ExpiredWe are offering the opportunity to do your Expeditions this year for the DofE Awards Bronze and Silver at County level. This enables the us to provide more opportunity, and for you to be assured of an opportunity to participate in a qualifying expedition this year. You need to attend all 3 weekends.
- Training Weekend: 30th April/1st May 2022 – Needham Market Scout Hut
Needham Market Scouts. Crown St, Needham Market, Scouts IP6 8RY - £20
This is a full-on weekend, including overnight camp, to get you trained to a level to go for an expedition. Please bring a lunch for Saturday, and a tent* if you can, along with sleeping gear, plate/bowl/cutlery and a water bottle. Clothing and Footwear appropriate for a range of activities from First Aid to Hiking. We will also be sorting out your teams for the expeditions.
This event is for Network and Leaders, Assistant Leaders and Section/Unit Assistants; Explorer Scouts may be invited to attend upon demonstrating expertise on other CMAT events.
It is taking place on Sat March 26th to Sun March 27th 2022 (arriving Fri night 25th) at Canolfan Awyr Agored Rhyd Ddu Outdoor Centre, Caernarfon LL54 6TL
We will offer hillwalking and training or assessment for a hillwalking permit. The weather is often severe at this time of year and attendees should come suitably prepared. An optional overnight wild camp will be offered to those with appropriate experience and equipment. Note this is an essential aspect of the Terrain 2 permit assessment but is not required for Terrain 1 or personal permit assessment.
